Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255

Breguet unveils the first flying tourbillon in its history, in a creation limited to 50 pieces celebrating the Maison’s 250th anniversary.

Following the historic patent obtained by Abraham-Louis Breguet on June 26, 1801, the Manufacture celebrates the 224th anniversary of the tourbillon with the Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255, launched on June 26, 2025. Limited to just 50 pieces, this timepiece combines tradition, innovation, and a profound connection to astronomy.

It marks the debut of Breguet’s first flying tourbillon, here reinterpreted with a “mysterious” construction thanks to sapphire glass bridges that render its support invisible. The result is a hypnotic levitation effect, with the cage seemingly floating above the dial.

Another first is found in the dial: crafted in grand feu aventurine enamel, it recalls the starry night sky with shimmering copper inclusions. Each dial is unique, reflecting the artisanal nature of this demanding process.

On the reverse, the hand-wound Calibre 187M1 reveals Haute Horlogerie finishes, including the Quai de l’Horloge guilloché, inspired by the curves of the Seine. The 38 mm case in exclusive “Breguet gold”, a proprietary alloy with a warm, subtle hue, recalls the materials used by 18th-century masters.

The Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255 stands as both a technical masterpiece and a tribute to Abraham-Louis Breguet’s astronomical pursuits. As CEO Gregory Kissling explains, “this creation is an ode to the tourbillon itself, where time indication becomes almost secondary to its beauty.”
