Reference 3705 is the first to use black zirconia ceramics. It is a very hard material, extremely resistant to cracking and corrosion. Tribute to 3705's innovation goes a step further. The case, chronograph buttons and buckle are all made of Ceratanium® material developed by IWC, which is as light and strong as titanium, but as hard and scratch-resistant as the original ceramic case.
The chronograph movement is one of the most popular and commonly used horological complications. And for good reason: no other complications can make a watch as sporty and elegant as a chronograph.
