Blancpain introduces new 38 mm additions that complete the Fifty Fathoms Automatique line – now available in three case sizes, designed to suit every wrist, style, and preference. The unveiling of this new case size represents an important evolution for Blancpain’s iconic diver’s watch. This is not merely a scaled-down version: the proportions have been carefully reworked to ensure balance, harmony, and presence on any wrist, whether slim or substantial. The result is a refreshed, versatile silhouette that remains unmistakably Fifty Fathoms.

Created in 1953 under the leadership of Jean-Jacques Fiechter – then CEO of the brand, a passionate diver and one of the pioneers of underwater exploration – the Fifty Fathoms was the world’s first true diver’s watch. It introduced innovative features such as a lockable rotating bezel, enhanced water resistance, a high-contrast dial with luminescent markers, automatic movement, and anti-magnetic protection. These characteristics not only set the standard for professional diving watches but also remain fundamental elements of the Fifty Fathoms to this day.
