WHERE ARQUITECTURE MEETS WINE
With a historic legacy, Quinta de Adorigo is dedicated to producing wines that reflect the true essence of the Douro. A destination that is set to soon offer a unique agro-tourism experience, while maintaining an unwavering commitment to excellence and sustainability.
Located in the stunning natural landscape of the Douro, Quinta de Santo António de Adorigo is a historical and viticultural treasure rooted in the hills near Peso da Régua. The old vines of 38 Douro grape varieties planted in 1955 give rise to wines with unique characteristics, recognised for their essence, complexity and incomparable elegance, produced using sustainable agricultural practices.
In 2019, Joaquim Fernandes, who is passionate about the culture and landscape of the Douro, wrote a new chapter in this family legacy, bringing his vision of promoting Portuguese wine culture and valuing rural heritage to Quinta de Adorigo. A vision that combines tradition, innovation and sustainability and which materializes in an agrotourism project, designed by the Sérgio Rebelo Architecture Studio, which includes a modern winery and a premium hotel. A project awarded first place in 2021 in the Future Projects, leisure Led Development category at the World Architecture Festival.
