The perpetual calendar complication returns to IWC's Portofino collection.
The new IWC Portofino Perpetual Calendar marks not only the return of this complication to the Portofino family, but also the debut of the calendar module created by Kurt Klaus in this collection. The new watch comes in two variants: one with a gold case and the other in steel, both powered by the IWC 82650 automatic caliber, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.
Both versions feature a silver dial, differing only in the color of the hands and applied indices, as well as the color of the stars and Moon in the moonphase indication. The date appears at 3 o'clock, the month at 6 o'clock and the day of the week at 9 o'clock. The hands of the calendar data subdial and the central seconds hand are blued, and the days of the week indication also contains a small window that displays the red “L” when there is a leap year.
