SPEEDMASTER DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
The Omega Speedmaster 'Dark Side Of The Moon' pays homage to the original Speedmasters used on the Apollo space missions. This collection is a reinterpretation of the same design that was selected by NASA for use in space.
As a participant in all six lunar landings in history, the legendary Speedmaster is a true icon of space and of Omega's pioneering spirit. In this 44.25 mm model, the Speedmaster's lunar history is celebrated in the blackened movement, which has been laser-engraved to represent the surface of the moon. The near side can be seen through the blackened skeleton dial, while the far side can be viewed through the caseback.
Presented on a perforated black leather strap with a yellow rubber interior, the watch is entirely in black ceramic and features yellow lacquered chronograph hands and a Super-LumiNova tachymeter scale. The movement inside is a specially decorated OMEGA Calibre 1869, while the caseback is engraved with 'APOLLO 8, DEC 1968', 'DARK SIDE OF THE MOON' and 'WE'LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE'.
