Omega returns to the realm where its legend was born. From the first manned orbit around the Moon in 1968 to the wrist of every Apollo 8 astronaut, the Speedmaster remains the bridge between engineering and exploration. Today, the Dark and Grey Side of the Moon collection enters a new era with seven models across four distinct dials, blending material innovation, technical refinement and the lunar-charged aesthetic that defines Omega’s space legacy.
After four years of research, Omega has refined its ceramic case construction to achieve slimmer profiles and balanced proportions, while retaining the bold 44.25 mm presence. The new bevelled polished ceramic process delivers remarkable depth and brilliance, enhanced by Liquidmetal™ bezels and crowns for greater durability.
Each dial showcases a two-layer ceramic construction with laser-brushed or sandblasted finishing. Highlights include the Black Edition 9908, manual-winding with a matte dial and red chronograph hand; the Dark Side 9900, automatic with a Liquidmetal™ tachymeter scale; the All Black 9900, with darkened components and diamond-polished indexes; and the Apollo 8 “Grey Side” 3869, paying tribute to Jim Lovell’s words: “The Moon is essentially grey.”
