IWC presents three new versions of the Portugieser Chronograph watch with Horizon, Obsidian and Dune dials, inspired by the endless cycle of day and night.
The first watch features a Horizon blue dial combined with a white gold case and a blue leather strap. The second features an obsidian dial, a gold case and a black Santoni alligator strap. The third impresses with its dune-colored dial, steel case and black alligator strap. The models are powered by the IWC Caliber 69355, a robust mechanical chronograph movement with a classic column wheel design.
The highlight of these models is the intricately worked dials. The brass bases are first given a sunray finish before the corresponding color is applied. Next, up to 15 layers of transparent lacquer are applied, finely sanded, and then polished to a high shine. The counters are milled and the printing, carried out using a special process, further enhances the three-dimensional effect. Finally, the appliqués are individually assembled by hand.
