Bulgari has broken another world record with the new Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC, a fully COSC-certified watch just 1.70mm thick.

Limited to just 20 pieces in titanium or platinum, the new Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC is not only the world's thinnest mechanical watch, but also the world's thinnest COSC-certified chronometer. At 1.70 mm thick, this model is 0.1 mm thinner than the previous Octo Finissimo Ultra, despite using the same BVL180 calibre. To save this tenth of a millimetre, Bulgari redesigned the sapphire crystal.

Aesthetically, the new watch is distinguished from its predecessor by darker subdials (or blue PVD on the platinum version), the "Chronometer Certified" inscription and a redesigned ratchet wheel with a more glamorous DataMatrix instead of a QR code.
