The Blancpain Air Command collection is inspired by a highly sought after 1950s Blancpain chronograph, produced in small quantities. In the wake of its predecessor, this limited edition remains true to the original model but with contemporary updates.
Limited to 500 pieces, the Blancpain Air Command Flyback Chronograph is, in terms of design, very similar to the 1950s original. The subtle differences lie in the slightly larger case, crown and Arabic numerals, as well as the position of the chronograph pushers, which denounces the great difference between the two models: the movement.
In fact, instead of the Valjoux 222 caliber that fitted the original watch, this limited edition is powered by the F388B caliber, an automatic movement with a 50-hour power reserve and 1/10th of a second column wheel chronograph with vertical clutch.
