CONSTANTLY SEEKING EXCELLENCE
For Vacheron Constantin, the quest for excellence is a state of mind and a process that involves each stage of production, from design to finishing.
For those implicated in watchmaking excellence, the challenge is to subject the raw materials to the demands of precise and meticulous craftsmanship, which guarantee exceptional quality and, as a consequence, the timelessness and durability of a product.
The quest for the best is the driving force behind high-precision mechanics. Even the watch’s design is made involving high technology. Assembly of the parts, watch encasing and the various inspection protocols are carried out using this same meticulous and quality-based approach.
These are gestures guaranteeing operational reliability that the maintenance service has been able to preserve and implement during the creation of all watches since 1755.
THE HALLMARK OF GENEVA, since 1901
The Hallmark of Geneva certifies compliance with the traditions of Genevan workmanship. Vacheron Constantin, which first applied for the hallmark in 1901, is among the few manufacturers that embarked on this road to excellence at an early date.
Since then, the company has been training its watchmakers in the crafts of fine watchmaking based on the stringent criteria of the Hallmark of Geneva. This approach has enabled it to maintain traditional skills while evolving the tools of production, resulting in timepieces of refined appearance with faultless mechanisms.
